Tablecloth Care Tips

Looking after your new table cover.

Follow these simple steps to get years of great service and good looks from your new acrylic coated tablecloth.

When your tablecloth arrives it may have been folded. These folds will come out naturally over a few days if the cloth is spread on a table in a warm room. If you want to speed up the process you could iron on the reverse with a warm iron to remove the folds.

The best place for your tablecloth to be is on the table but if you do decide to store it away, rolling it up will keep it in the best possible shape for the next time you want to use it.

Spills and mess will wipe easily from your acrylic coated tablecloth if you do it straight away with a sponge and clean warm water. Do not use any abrasive cleaning fluids, abrasive cloths, or detergents. This fabric is hard wearing and durable but it is not indestructible and just like PVC coated fabrics it will not tolerate paint, nail polish, ink and some shoe cleaning products for example.

Should you wish to freshen up your acrylic coated tablecloth it can be machine washed occasionally at 30°C. Do not use fabric conditioner. It should be hung up to dry with as few folds as possible. Do not tumble dry. When the cloth is completely dry iron on a cool setting on the reverse to reactivate the protective coating. Do not dry clean.

Be careful with hot things! Excessive heat can damage the coating and spoil the look of the fabric. Always protect from hot plates and dishes by using trivets or place mats.

Although we try to ensure that our fabrics don’t fade, if they are left in very strong sunlight for extended periods of time some fading may occur.
